Appointments are available Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling to accommodate busy professional and academic schedules. If you do not see a time that works for you on the calendar, please call our office at (336) 828-2599. Additional appointment slots may be available for urgent psychiatric needs. We accept most major insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, and several Medicaid plans. Self-pay rates are available for patients without insurance.
New patients are encouraged to complete their intake paperwork before the appointment to maximize the time available for your clinical evaluation. How to Schedule an Appointment at Pinnacle BHW
Scheduling mental health care should be simple and stress-free. At Pinnacle Behavioral Health & Wellness, we have designed our scheduling process to get you connected with a licensed psychiatric provider as quickly as possible. New patients can register through our secure online portal in just a few minutes, and same-day telepsychiatry appointments are frequently available Monday through Friday across all of North Carolina.
Once you register as a new patient, you will receive a link to complete your intake paperwork electronically before your first visit. This paperwork covers your current symptoms, medical history, current medications, and insurance information. Completing it in advance allows your provider to dedicate the full appointment time to understanding your concerns and developing a personalized treatment plan rather than collecting background information.
Existing patients can log in to the patient portal at any time to schedule follow-up appointments, request medication refills, view visit summaries, and send secure messages to their care team. Follow-up appointments for medication management are typically 20 to 30 minutes and are available on a recurring schedule to ensure continuity of care.
Insurance and Self-Pay Scheduling
Pinnacle accepts most major insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Medicare, and several NC Medicaid plans. If you are unsure whether your plan is accepted, our intake team can verify your benefits before your appointment at no charge to you. Self-pay patients are also welcome, and our transparent pricing makes psychiatric care accessible without insurance.

Telepsychiatry Appointments in North Carolina
All Pinnacle BHW appointments are conducted via secure video visit. You will need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, as well as a stable internet connection. Our telehealth platform is HIPAA-compliant and does not require you to download any special software — you simply click a link at the time of your appointment. Appointments are available to patients located anywhere in North Carolina, including rural areas and communities that historically have limited access to mental health services.
After each appointment, your provider will send follow-up instructions, any new or adjusted prescriptions to your preferred pharmacy, and a summary of your care plan. Our team is committed to ensuring that every patient leaves each appointment with a clear understanding of their treatment and next steps.
