Two hospitals serve the county. There is Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury. There is also the Salisbury VA Medical Center. Between them they handle a great deal. But outpatient psychiatry still sent people down I-85 to Charlotte, about 45 miles. Or north to Winston-Salem, about 40.
